Which version of the Ultimate Insurance Links should I use?

The newer site www.ultimateinsurancelinks.com runs from a database, is faster and slightly more current, and contains links to agents as well as the other insurance lists. The older site www.barryklein.com is a series of pure HTML pages (not a database) and does not have the agent information. If you want to link to any or all of these pages as content for your own website (permission freely given), this is the site to use.

How do I get my company's site added to your lists?

You may have your company's site added, for a free listing, as long as it meets the eligibility requirements (see below).  You can either request it using the Add Your Site link here or e-mail me with a note, giving me the URL, and preferably suggesting a very short description.  If your company does not meet the eligibility, you can only get listed by purchasing our $100/yr Enhanced listing.  If you're in doubt as to whether you qualify for a free listing, simply e-mail me and ask.

What's the difference between a free listing and an Enhanced listing?

An Enhanced listing is shown in a significantly larger type size, and is bolded, so it stands out from the regular listings.  The cost is $100/yr for an enhanced listing.  Because the enhanced listings fees support this public-service site, we also waive the eligibility requirements (which means that a company that is otherwise ineligible can be listed for a nominal cost).

What, exactly, are the eligibility requirements for a free listing?

• You must have your own domain name, such as www.yourcompany.com.  Not www.isp.com/yourcompany.   The domain must contain an informative site.  A log-in only entry screen does not qualify, nor does a domain that exists for e-mail only, nor does a placeholder "under construction" site.
• You must fall into one of the list categories: Carrier, MGA or other Wholesaler, Vendor, Organization, Publisher.
• We list primary and reinsurance carriers (P&C or L&H), and MGAs/Excess & Surplus Lines Brokers,/other Wholesalers, but not retailers.
• If you are a vendor, you must be providing goods or services either exclusively or predominantly to the insurance industry (carriers, MGAs, or agents, not consumers or businesses), and have a site that is focused on insurance.  A company that provides comparative rating to carriers would be eligible, a company that provides comparative rating to the public - the end consumer - would not.  In simple terms, if your customers are insurance companies or agents, then you're eligible; if your customers are consumers or businesses, you're not.
• If you are an MGA or other wholesaler, your site must indicate that you are a wholesaler of some type.  Firms that do retail as well as wholesale business are not eligible for free listings.
• You must be a U.S. or Canadian company, or operating in the U.S. or Canada.
• Any eligible company may have one free listing.  You should purchase enhanced listings for additional sites (or for all).

(Note:  Eligibility requirements are only for free listings.  Anyone may purchase an enhanced listing.)

Do you list retail insurance agents and brokers?

Retail agents & brokers are eligible for free listings at www.UltimateInsuranceLinks.com (the version of this site that runs from a database). Just click the Add Your Site link at the top & follow the prompts for a RETAIL agent. You do NOT have to have a site - If you leave the site url field empty, your listing will show with your name, phone number and city but without a site link. There are no agent listsing on www.barryklein.com.
